About Vrsar

Vrsar (Italian: Orsera) is a town in Istria, Croatia. It is located at the entrance to the Limfjord and between the coastal towns of Poreč/Parenzo and Rovinj/Rovigno. In Vrsar, the character of a Mediterranean fishing settlement has been preserved. Starting from the harbour, the development rises in terraces up a slope and ends at the church with its separate bell tower (campanile) at a height of 54 metres.

The place was the summer residence of the bishops of Poreč.

Off the coast of Vrsar is a group of 18 small, uninhabited islands densely covered with Mediterranean plant communities.
